Risk Management Buys A New Facility

Congratulations to Toan, Jim and Steve and the entire Risk Management Insurance staff in Milwaukee on their recent purchase of a new facility at 21420 Greenfield Avenue. Risk Management first began their investigation into purchasing versus leasing a property last summer. Although the building they initially pursued with Judson’s Lori Hake wasn’t a fit, the conversation during that tour revealed requirements prompting Lori to suggest touring another of her nearby listings. A quick phone call to the owner and an impromptu tour that same day turned the outing into a terrific success! Following that tour, Risk Management was able to reassess their needs and following Lori’s advice, was able to take advantage of the low interest rate climate to make the leap from Lessee to Owner! Risk Management is an independent provider of both personal and business insurance including several high-risk specialized products. Like many other small businesses, they’ve discovered that owning can actually be less expensive than renting in the current environment. Want to make the move toward becoming an owner yourself?? Contact Judson & Associates, s.c.

Lake Country Wellness Relocates

Just prior to the Holidays, holistic healing center, Lake Country Wellness and Counseling Center moved into its new facility at 1177 Quail Court in Pewaukee. When the firm found themselves in need of a rapid relocation plan this fall, they turned to Judson and Associates’ brokers Matt Judson and Lori Hake. Because the Center’s services are primarily focused on individual and couples counseling, Lori and Matt understood their need to make the transition as easy as possible for their existing clients. Fortunately, Matt was able to quickly identify options that allowed the firm to relocate less than two miles from their former office and making it easier for patients to handle the move. Lake Country Wellness seeks to help clients find “balance” in their lives through education, self-reflection, and skill building. For a full list of the center’s services, please visit them at their website.

Naturescape Prepared For Spring

Everything should be “coming up roses” this spring for Naturescape Lawn Care, Inc. and owner, Todd Furry as they prepare to open their new office complex at 5757 North Lover’s Lane in Milwaukee. From winter snow removal to the complete spectrum of lawn care services, these landscape professionals have been in business over 25 years. Opening this additional location culminates two years of diligent work on the part of Lori Hake with Judson and Associates who received a very specific request from Naturescape. “We were looking,” Lori noted, “for an 8,000-12,000 square foot site with visibility from Northbound Highways 41/45 in Milwaukee, and inventory meeting those specs was particularly tight.” Thanks to her daily monitoring efforts, Lori was able to identify a site the same day it went on the market, tour it with company representatives and sign a lease within the same week! The Judson team, wishes Naturescape every success in this terrific and very visible new space.

Corporate Courier Adds New Hub!

Homegrown Wisconsin firm, Corporate Courier, Inc., recently leased a 16,000 sq. ft. facility at W228 N2792 Duplainville Road adding Waukesha to its rapidly growing list of fleet outsourcing centers. Headquartered in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the distributor has added 6 hubs to its courier services network and delivers everything from auto parts to pharmaceuticals across a territory encompassing the entire North Central U.S. CEO Terry Knutson’s team worked closely with Mike Judson to locate a property offering the secure long and short term warehousing required by the firm’s clients. The Duplainville facility offered the logistics company an ideal opportunity to gain a foothold in the Milwaukee market. The Judson team congratulates Corporate Courier on its robust growth and wish them continued success throughout 2017.

History of Success Highlights Sale

The holiday season marked another success for the partnership between Judson and Associates and Waukesha’s D&R Investments. The firm first hired Judson’s Mark Gorski in 2009 to assist in leasing a small industrial unit that had become vacant. After successfully filling the space, the relationship grew as D&R continued to use Mark’s services to eventually lease all of the spaces within the property and provide advisory services for each of the tenants. This fall when D&R was ready to sell the asset, they again reached out to Mark and the Judson team to help re position and stabilize the property. Using Mark’s in-depth knowledge of the property and potential buyers in the Waukesha market, Judson and Associates was able to locate a buyer within 60 days of completing the stabilization plan Mark designed. This enabled D&R to successfully close on the sale by the end of the year. Mark joins with everyone at Judson and Associates in wishing Dan, Ruth and D&R Investments continued prosperity in 2017.

Northbrook Publishing Moves to Brookfield

The busy Executive Drive office complex adjacent to Brookfield Square Mall will be the new home of Northbrook Publishing Company. Formed in 1996 as a custom publishing division of Randall-Reilly Publishing Company, Northbrook specializes in publications and brochures for the trucking, automotive, marine and other related industrial industries. A shift in business models from an individual office oriented building to offices that function as a collaborative center for employees prompted owner, Pete Sobic, to sell his New Berlin facility in favor of leasing a smaller, more centrally located space with closer proximity to I-94. Judson’s Lori Hake provided a smooth transition by facilitating both the sale of Northbrook’s former facility and the lease for his newest location and wishes the company every success during this transition and throughout 2017.

Lifelong Dream Fulfilled!

Better than a New Year’s resolution, Darin Marquardt, new owner of Performance Off-Road of WI, has brought his lifelong dream to fruition with the opening of a 3,000 square foot facility in Sussex. After several years of helping friends “soup-up” their trucks and vehicles, Darin began working with broker Lori Hake of Judson and Associates close to a year ago to officially turn his hobby into his business. After working through some of the usual headwinds associated with establishing a business of this type, Lori helped Darin begin setting up shop with the lease of a site at N69 W25195 Indian Grass Lane. The auto detailing company will specialize in every aspect of off-road vehicle customization and is part of a large network of Perfomance Off-Road franchises located throughout the United States. Congratulations Darin and best of luck in 2017 from Lori and the entire Judson team.

Renter Becomes Owner

The new year will soon usher in the relocation and opening of a new laboratory for Fleming Dermatopathology and Director, Dr. Matthew Fleming. Currently located in Brookfield, the new lab at 4324 W. Bradley Road in Brown Deer will enable the expansion of the firm which provides specialized communication technologies to facilitate dermatological diagnoses and clinicopathological correlation. In assisting Dr. Fleming with the purchase, Lori Hake with Judson and Associates was looking to find a site that would enable the health care firm to move from renting facilities to becoming an owner of their own building. Dr. Fleming, the former director of the Medical College of Wisconsin’s Immunodermatology lab, first opened his private lab in 2009. He remains on MCW’s faculty and in private dermatological practice in Menomonee Falls. Lori joins the Judson staff in wishing Dr. Fleming’s group every success in their new facility.

Wisconsin Hearing Aid Centers Consolidate

Heading into 2017, the audiology professionals at two Wisconsin Hearing Aid Centers’ locations will be combining forces into a single new Brookfield location. The new center at 12720-B West North Avenue offers a more centralized space for the 50 year old firm which provides both a traditional “one-stop-shop” for hearing aid devices, repair, and accessories as well as audiometric testing facilities and an in-home shut-in service. In working with WHAC, Judson’s Lori Hake was particularly mindful of the Centers’ clients and helped find an opportunity that co-locates them with other medical professionals at a site just minutes from the Milwaukee County Medical Centers complex. For a complete list of Wisconsin Hearing Aid Centers’ services, please visit them on North Avenue or take a look at their website.

New Headquarters For Capitol Heating & Cooling

After an exhaustive twelve month search, Capitol Heating and Cooling is handling the challenges of this winter’s extreme weather at its new headquarters right off Silver Spring at N134 N5368 Campbell Drive in Menomonee Falls. As both a residential and commercial contractor, Capitol worked closely with Judson and Associates broker, Mike Judson, to find a centralized location that would meet not only their office needs but provide them with an expanded warehouse space as well. From their new 22,300 square foot facility, the HVAC company will be providing 24 hour emergency heating and cooling services along with a wide range of indoor air quality diagnostics to an extensive service area that includes Waukesha, Ozaukee, Washington and Racine counties. Congratulations to Capitol’s crew on their move and we wish them a prosperous 2017!

Alay Health Opens in Pewaukee

The team at Alay Health was recently able to put out their new welcome mat at 1001 Cecelia Drive in Pewaukee thanks to the efforts of brokers Lori Hake and Matt Judson with Judson and Associates. Created to address significant deficits in the availability of prescribing health care providers for psychiatric services throughout Wisconsin, the firm provides clients access to a unique video conferencing tool that helps them strategize complex psychiatric solutions with a nationwide network of specialists. Alay looks forward to significantly expanding its outreach following their move into this modern 1,760 square foot space. For a full list of Alay’s services and “tele-collaborative” outreach programs, click here to visit their website. Lori, Matt and the Judson team want to wish the entire staff at Alay every success in their new home.
