Goodbye 2023, Cheers to 2024!
As we saw interest rates creep above 7%, 2023 proved to be a test that our younger core of sales agents had not yet seen. The market shifted from being heavy on investment sales to an owner/user market that continued to keep industrial inventories low. In addition, there was also strong activity in the leasing market. The industrial vacancy rate for Waukesha County started at 1.3% and ended at about 1%, which added to the difficulty of being able to get deals done. However, because our team had the foresight and was able to prepare itself for this occurrence by continually digging to find off-market opportunities for our customers, we ended up finishing the year on a high note. The office market has had the opposite issue. Now, a few years after the COVID shut down, the market continues to be saturated with available office space. We have been successful in finding solutions to customer’s needs by staying on top of trends and thinking outside of the box. Overall, 2023 was a great year for the Judson and Associates, s.c. Team and we look forward to continuing to help our clients meet or exceed their commercial real estate needs in 2024!
